Greetings from deepest southwest Georgia down here at Donalsonville Municipal (17J).  I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how much I enjoyed my trip to Alaska and back with you folks.  Bet you didn’t know that another 235 lb. Fellow could fit in Yellowbird with you, but amazingly, I did manage to squeeze in, or so it seems after reading your book.  I finished reading it this past weekend and to tell the truth, it was hard to put down once I began.  After I read the first couple of chapters, though, what I did was to get out my Rand McNally landlubbers map (didn’t have all the sectionals) and followed you across the country, marking your stops along the way.  That way, I got a good feel for where “we” were going each day, and you know, after reading about the acquaintances you made along the way, I almost feel as if I know each of them.  Not that I’ve ever met any of them, of course, but I’ve met so many nice folks at small airports all around that your trip only confirmed my feeling that the nicest folks in the universe are found around airports and flying activities.  The fact that you had family at the destination, and were able to do so much that average Alaska visitors don’t get to do while there was a real bonus too.  A J-e over a glacier, wow!
